A/Prof Clair Whelan
Urologist
A/Prof Clair Whelan is an experienced urologist, with over a decade of specialist practice serving patients across regional and rural New South Wales. Clair brings both clinical depth and a genuine commitment to improving healthcare access for country communities.
Alongside her surgical career, Clair holds an Adjunct Associate Professorship at Charles Sturt University and a Clinical Senior Lectureship at the University of Sydney, where she champions the next generation of rural doctors. She has presented her work internationally — from Yokohama to Melbourne — and is a passionate advocate for solving the rural healthcare workforce crisis.
Outside the operating theatre, Clair finds balance on the yoga mat, in the company of animals, and in the community around her.
